Dr. Cerenne Cervantes, Community Schools Coordinator at Natomas High School, began reestablishing a Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) in Spring 2025 by bringing together parents, students, and families to rebuild a vital school partnership. Although NHS previously had a PTSA, it had been inactive for several years.

In September 2025, Dr. Cervantes continued this effort in collaboration with Tom Nelson of the 3rd District PTA, guiding the group through the formal process of drafting bylaws and electing officers—laying the groundwork for a strong, inclusive, and sustainable PTSA for the Natomas High School community.
